New School Year Resolution

I'm a BS-Math student in Polytechnic University of the Philippines and I'm on my third year. After the adventure of my great summer because of my church activities like camping, school counseling, bible school teaching and other youth gatherings I felt sad because school days are here again.
By the way too much about vacation and I don't want this "article"(that's what I call this)  talk more about my sadness while the days of school approaching.
I want to focus about my New School Year Resolution...

During my first year in college I tried to have changes in my life because when I'm on my high school days, I'm a typical guy who always been bullied and verbally abused by my classmates, that's why I decided to become a leader in college. Finally I was elected as a President of my Class not just because they voted me to become the president but also because I want it, I want to prove something, something new and something bigger far from what I know I can do. I also joined in different organizations like theater, math club and researching. I taught this will help me in changing my past.
That year is also the same year I'd decided to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. JIVE YOUTH taught me the real way how to lead. First I thought being a leader is to become the master of all, to be the boss, to be the greatest among my class but they helped me to realized that to become a leader you must be a good servant - a good follower. After my first year in college all of my perceptions in life had changed...
On my second year, I'd decided to surrender my position and all of my organizations. I decided to serve not others but God. That year I focused serving in our Church and became one of the Youth Leaders. As a God's Servant I tried to become a good example to others... I remember my "kuya" in church saying "a leader is a man of influence". thanks to Kuya Rege (special mention! peace)...
This year I want to be a good leader not just on church... now I will apply the word "INTEGRITY".  My New School Year Resolution will be leading others to Jesus... and show who really I am... not to be ashamed of being a Christian.. A little Christ... Let others see not Jof as a leader but see Jof with Christ as the one who leads them...

  1. Woot! I'm so glad to see you start blogging, JM! I remember asking Jed who his favorite Sunday School teacher is and he answered "Kuya JM!" in an instant. Wala ng isip, isip. You are a gifted to teach. Praise God for your ministry. :)
